How did "the talk" go? I was in similar situation as you, except I got lucky, I got laid off -yipee- with a huge severance pkg. Take care.
I got talked out of it by friends who realized that if I walked out I'd have zero income.
Smarter heads prevailed, and I instead stepped up my job hunt.
